Prior to Upserve, Angus co-founded Tellme, a prominent Silicon Valley technology firm that grew a profitable business to over $120 million in sales and more than 300 employees. In 2007, Microsoft acquired Tellme in its largest-ever acquisition of a private company. In 2006, BusinessWeek named him one of the top ten entrepreneurs under age 30, and in 2013 Forbes named him one of “America’s most promising CEOs under age 35.” Prior to Tellme, Angus joined Netscape Communications in 1996, bypassing college to become the company’s youngest employee at age 18. A New England native, Angus visits Silicon Valley often.
Chief Revenue Officer
Paul leads the company’s Sales, Account Management, Marketing and Customer Support teams to drive customer acquisition and client success efforts. Paul brings 25 years of client facing, technology leadership and has been instrumental in driving growth and go-to-market transformations for B2B technology leaders. Goetz holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts.
Anne joined Upserve with over 22 years holding the CFO position at several high-growth technology companies, including her most recent role at Salary.com. Prior to Salary.com, Anne was COO and CFO of advanced analytics company Lavastorm. Anne also served as CFO of Kaseya, where she oversaw all business systems functions and led financial and operational reporting, planning and forecasting, as well as the Company’s acquisition by Insight Venture Partners. In addition, Anne was CFO at companies including WebLayers, Inc., Ultimus, Inc., Ardence, Inc. (acquired by Citrix Systems), Optical Solutions (acquired by Calix, Inc.), Café Odyssey, Inc. and Rare Hospitality (now part of Darden Restaurants).
Anne earned a B.A. in economics from Duke University, and an M.B.A. from Duke University – The Fuqua School of Business, where she was a Fuqua Scholar.
Vice President, Corporate Development
Dave joined Upserve with more than 20 years of technology, business and hospitality experience. Dave was previously at Micros Systems, where he led eCommerce and product strategy groups for hospitality and retail. Dave holds a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s degree from Towson University, and an MBA from Loyola University.
Vice President, Talent
Alaina is VP of Talent and Operations at Upserve. She brings over a decade of experience in recruitment and talent development at companies such as McKinsey & Company, M Squared Consulting, and Teach for America. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Human Resource Management from The George Washington University. Alaina’s passion for the hospitality industry stems from a long family history of owning and operating restaurants. When not enjoying Rhode Island’s coastline with her two daughters and husband, you can find Alaina supporting the economic and cultural revitalization of Downtown Providence.
Bright leads Upserve’s Engineering team, drawing on over 15 years of product development and web operations experience. Prior to joining the team in 2010, Bright was focused on infrastructure scaling at VeriSign Managed Security Services, now Dell SecureWorks. Bright attended UC Berkeley, and enjoys playing Scrabble.
SVP of Channel and Alliances
Brad is SVP of Channel and Alliances for Upserve. He brings over 25 years of leadership experience in growing and scaling companies with being most noted for President and Chairman of OnDeck from 2009 through 2013 prior to their IPO. Brad also is passionate about the restaurant space, owning Tini – a popular cocktail and music video bar in Indianapolis as well a loyal Upserve client for several years. He holds his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
SVP of Operations
Mike brings 25 years of experience in operational and product development roles delivering and supporting advanced technology products to SMB customers through direct and indirect channels. Most recently, Mike was with Envysion, where he oversaw all aspects of customer operations and the development of advanced processes and systems supporting several of the largest fast food and fast casual brands in the United States. Prior to joining Envysion, Mike helped drive 100-fold growth in customer deployments for New Global Telecom (now part of Comcast Ventures), where he was responsible for service delivery, service assurance, billing, and vendor management functions as Vice President of Client Services. Before NGT, Mike worked at Level 3 Communications as Director of Product Management for Enterprise Voice Services. Outside of the office, Mike enjoys golfing and finding the latest hot spot in the Denver restaurant scene.
Director, Strategic Programs
Shankar joined Upserve with over 11 years of experience in technology and business consulting. Shankar was previously with Red Hat where he was part of the Business Operations team driving Strategic Planning, Process Improvements and Business Performance reviews. Prior to Red Hat, he was a Managing Consultant (Strategy) in IBM focused on helping clients in Telecom, Media, and Life Sciences to optimize their Digital and Business strategies. Shankar earned his MBA from Emory University, Atlanta and his Bachelors in Computers from VTU in Bangalore, India.
