Curry Up Now founder Akash Kapoor has been a self-employed entrepreneur and businessman since moving to the U.S. from India in 1993. After successfully growing a variety of businesses, from credit card marketing to mortgage banking to debt and tax mediation, Kapoor left the traditional business world to start Curry Up Now with his wife, Rana, in 2009. Curry Up Now was the first Indian street food truck in the Bay Area, and has since grown to include six brick-and-mortar locations, four food trucks, and two craft cocktail bar concepts. Kapoor's mission is to grow Curry Up Now into the largest Indian food eatery in the U.S. and beyond, all the while staying true to his roots and serving great tasting, quality Indian food.
