“So one of the main features of Breadcrumb that we liked from the very beginning was its portability. We knew we wanted to have a tablet based system. We didn’t want to be bogged down in any of the previous technologies that were out there. A lot of the older systems used giant terminals that could only be updated by a company somewhere in the US that you had to pay a lot of extra money for. We knew we didn’t need that.”

“Training was probably the best part of this entire scenario. Most everyone in this industry nowadays, has used some sort of tablet in the past. So, you’re really just giving them another application within this tablet to use. They can easily find their way around. Breadcrumb is very intuitive.”
An Integrated Restaurant POS
“One of the benefits of having Breadcrumb POS integrated with Upserve’s restaurant management platform is our ability to save time in generating reports. Each night, we use the logbook and without our logbook it would be a tremendous amount of effort to get us the information that we need on a daily basis. Not only can you fill out the logbook for Upserve on the computer, but now with the live app you can do it on your mobile device. So when something comes to you, you can just look down and just start typing immediately. You don’t have to wait until the end of service.
A great example of that is being able to pull up the server tab within Upserve, and actually see which of my servers are actually underperforming. They may have great statistics on their overall sales, but with the Upserve ability to go into the server module and actually see who is serving above or beyond their means is, is a great ability.
After about two years of being open we decided that we needed to expand just a little bit. So we’re opening a Caboose Two just down the road. And of course Breadcrumb will be right there with us.”
